Their free software connects via the internet to your Stamps.com Postage Account. When postage is printed, the postage amount is deducted from your account. (There is alow monthly fee to use the service, but if your business ships packages on a regular basis, its definatly worth it.

The exact postage is instantly calculated - Just and prints your shipping label.
Stamps.com will calculate and print the shipping label with the exact postage. It also gives you an estimate of the delivery time of all available USPS services. Stamps.com uses the USPS database to validate your delivery address to make sure that delivery is accurate. If you want, you can even send an email to the recipient to notify them that their package is on its way.

Apply the shipping labeland hand the package to your Postal Carrier or drop it in any Post Office mailbox.

We have been using Stamps.com for over 8 years and it has really streamlined our shipping process. One of the best features is the ability to view your history of postage printed. Blank Shipping Labels

Many businesses that ship packages to their customers make the mistake of printing the shipping information onto blank paper and then using packing tape to attach it to the package. Although this does work, it is defiantly NOT the most efficient method. If your business is a one person operation and you only ship an occasional package it may make sense to hand write the shipping address directly on the package, but as your business grows you need to use the most efficient method to streamline your shipping process. Using blank sheet labels for laser and inkjet printers can save you time, but more importantly, when used with a program such as Stamps.com, it can help you organize and track your packages. The most popular sizes to use for shipping labels are Full Sheet Labels or Half Sheet Labels (Two 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Labels per page). If your business ships several packages per month, you can save money by purchasing blank sheet labels in bulk.

Gold and Silver Foil Address Labels on Sheets

Foil address labels on sheetsThis is a pretty cool product. Foil address labels have been available on rolls for several years. Here is a new product that im really excited about. Foil address labels on Sheets. Its only been available for about a year.

Here are some of the features of the foil labels on sheets:

  • Foil labels on sheets are 1″ x 2 5/8″ ( slightly larger then roll labels)
  • Available in Gold or Silver Foil
  • The larger size is more suited for business
  • The surface of the foil sheet labels is more reflective

Recently, we had a large in house project that required the application of labels to various boxes. Several employees were working on the project at the same time. Since the labels were on sheets, I was able to give each employee a few sheets of labels. With roll labels, it would not be possible to share with several employees.

If you use labels for business or if you want a slightly larger label, the foil labels on sheets may be the perfect solution for you.
