Rubber Stamping on Catalogs

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

As I have said before, rubber stamps can be used in an endless variety of ways. Rubber stamping on catalogs can be a great way to:

  • Let customers know who their sales representative is
  • Put your direct phone number on the catalog for easy customer access

Some of our customers who stamp their catalogs are:

  • Tupperware Dealers
  • Pampered Chef Dealers
  • Close to My Heart distributors

There is one important thing to keep in mind when considering a rubber stamp on a GLOSSY Catalog.  The ink will smear, unless you have an ink that is specially formulated to stamp on glossy surfaces.

The Solution?
Address labels are the perfect solution if your catalogs have a glossy surface. You can customize labels in the same manner as a rubber stamp. Also, address labels are available in a variety of colors and sizes. There are Full color labels and Foil labels.

Want them to remember you?
Make a lasting impression by printing your own labels with your picture on it. Let them see your smiling face :)
Most software programs have the ability to print labels, just select the appropriate template, design, print and apply.

Here is a short list of computer programs that you can use:

  • PrintMaster Gold
  • Printshop Deluxe
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Microsoft Word

This is a very short, (but most popular) list of programs that can print professional quality photo labels for your catalog. Give one of them a try

What is the difference between Regular Rubber Stamps, Self-Inking, and Pre-Inked stamps?

Regular Rubber Stamps

Regular rubber stamps, are inexpensive to purchase. They require a stamp ink pad. The advantage of this kind of stamp is that it is very inexpensive. Also, since it requires a seperate stamp pad, you can use different colored ink pads with the same stamp. The main drawback is that it requires cleaning after each use.

Self Inking Stamps

Self-Inking Stamps have and internal stamp pad inside the stamp housing. The stamp rests agains the stamp pad. When you press down to stamp, a mechanical mechanism flips the rubber stamp down toward the paper where it makes contact and transfers the stamped image to the paper. When the stamp is released, the stamp flips back up into the housing and againt the ink pad until you stamp the next item. Self Inking Stamps are much more convenient than Regular Rubber Stamps and last for thousands of impressions before needing to be re-inked.

Pre Inked Stamps

A Pre-Inked Stamp, does not use an internal or external stamp pad. The stamp die is impregnated with ink. These are equially convenient as a self-inking stamp. One note of caution, the stamp usually has a cover. Make sure to replace the cover, so the stamp does not dry out.

Rubber Stamps - Stock Messages

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Although rubber stamps are most commonly used in place of return address labels, they have many uses for business. There are several stock message stamps available that are perfect for every business.  No customization is necessary, they are stamps with pre-designed messages.

They can be used on invoices, Bills, Faxes, legal documents etc. Some Examples of stock message rubber stamps are:

CONFIDENTIAL
COPY
DUPLICATE
FAXED
FILE COPY
FOR DEPOSIT ONLY
FRAGILE
ORIGINAL
PAID
PAST DUE
RUSH
URGENT

Select an ink color that is most appropriate for your use. For example, Use Red ink for PAST DUE, RUSH, FRAGILE or URGENT.
If you are faxing a document, avoid blue ink, as it does not reproduce very well.

If you want a message to stand out, a stock message rubber stamp is a perfect solution.
